Well my friends, another trip to see the rheumy. I am now off the mtx for two weeks due to my breathing and i'm on antibiotics as i have an infection in the top of my knee where the clips were. I tell you its one step forward two back all the time. Yes i'm walking better and yes i look better, but i don't have any energy. All we have done this morning is go down the hospital and i am exhausted, will this never end i ask myself. My rheumy team are great and they took care of me alright. My inflamation markers were ok but my white cell count was off a bit. I just want to be normal is that too much to ask. I do try to be cheerful, but at the moment i'm close to crying. Anyway we are off on saturday so i have something to look forward too..
Hope the weather hold out for us all.xx

My surgeon has said if the phycio is happy he will be happy. I think i will feel better when i get there. At least he knows the state of play which is better to be safe than sorry. xxx
Ahh Slyvi, it never ends does it. I know just how you feel. I dread getting my bloods back and just wish I could have one lot back that was normal. It's exhausting isn't it? I really hope the infection clears up and things settle down. Xx
You poor thing. That knee has been a bit of a B for you hasn't it. I hope the antibiotics do their job quickly and that you'll have some energy to enjoy your break. Not long to go now and fingers crossed for the weather. xxx
Thinking of you Sylvie. Not too long before your holiday and hopefully you can take your mind off the pain with some lovely views, foodstuffs and happy times.
Hi Sylvi, if you had an infection growing in your knee my thoughts are that it would have slowed down the progress of your knee mending after the op - if I'm right recuperation of your knee is probably further forward than you think (once the antibiotics really kick in and start the attack you may find that you make a massive improvement quickly) I do hope I'm right.
Shame about the mtx. but understandable.
The 'no energy' must be due to the infection so again when the meds. kick in you're going to feel a whole lot better. A change of scenery and change of air will be good as well.
Judi, thank you very much. I am down here with the hubby. We got down here safely thank goodness. Guess what it is doing, yes raining likie there is no tomorrow. The antibiotics are working and the knee looks better. There is still stuff coming out of it,but is looking a lot better. I am exhausted no end from the trip down here.. I have come over to the club house to use the wii-fi as there is no signal in our cottage. Hope your well. sylvi.xxx
