Well my friends i am now home from the nec. I was very tired so i will post some Things that i have found and a brief overview of the day.
1, Aids for independent living. There is so many of these, but i have found that i like. I got a very nice bib for when i have a meal. The one for the house is quite big,i'm afraid i do manage to spill things. I got two very nice ones for when i eat out,it looks like a scarf. For £22 i got the three. Not a bad deal.
2,Simply health have a thing for putting on socks and tights which i found useful. Its a frame which is a bit bigger than the others that i have seen. It cost £34.79 less if its vat free.
3,nrs aids for daily living. Potty putty for £5.19. Writing bird,Now this i think i will buy, It costs £31.99 It gently glides so no pressinng or gripping which for us i think will be good. Digital door bell, £129.99 This is one of the cheapest out there. It gives you the safety of knowing who is at your door. Also you can tell them to wait if your a slow walking like me.
4, there are wheelchairs, scooters so many out there. You can spend a fortune on these. We saw a lovely scandinavian scooter that had heater in it,window wipers and a good quality cover, now wait for it, it cost....... £13,000. I know its soo much money, but i did like it,just can't afford it.
5, Stairlifts of sorts an sizes, all dependent on you wallet again. Beds that move up and down and they are of good quality as well. I can reccomend the electrics beds as we have had one for several years.
I found the place to be very interesting and enlightening. Very expensive too, which i found to out of my income. Why does everything that we need to help us is so dear. Most of us are on some sort if benefit and though the stuff is very good it is way out of mine and yours i think.
It was worth going just for the ideas that are out there.
I will finish this for now and go through some of the other stuff i brought home. I will see what else i can find.
