Rituximab

Regarding the query on rituximab, I got a lift home after my first infusion but have been able to drive myself since then and have had 4 infusions so far. No side effects whatsover, infusion is straightforward. Results are good for me with a considerable reduction in pain. Fatigue still a problem but recovery rate seems to be better if I overdo it.

First infusion takes almost the whole day. I went in at 8.30a.m. and left at 4.30p.m. Was extremely well looked after and monitored re temperature and blood pressure and the nurses keep asking you how you are feeling. Second one takes less time if the first one caused no problem. If you feel unwell they will slow down the infusion or stop. Natural to feel apprehensive. Good luck. BB

They monitor you very closely, I've never had side effects just reduction in pain. Try not to worry the meds are well tested now

Sorry for taking so long to reply but have been in hospital getting a knee op. I have personally had no after effects whatsoever other than feeling considerably better. Hope for the best. You will be well monitored.
