Hi Lulul, Ive also recently switched from oral mthx to injection and to be honest for me its been a godsend because for 18 months on oral I was sick for 3 days with nausea, headaches and basically felt like I had the worst hangover ever!

But however since Ive switched Ive had no problems what so ever but I do belive people can still get side effects from the injections, give your rheumys office a call tomorrow or speak to your GP, see if there is anything they can do to help.

Take care

Thanks Julie...I am pleased not to feel sick but the headache is awful. How long before you got to inject yourself?? I am needle phobic and the nurse did my first one last week!!!

I too was needle phobic but once I did one I seem to have gotten over it however it wasn't easy I was having a panic attack first time but now I am fine however my hands are quite bad most days so I put the needle in and let my other half push the stuff in x I can honestly say that after about 6 weeks of doin them I am wondering why I was ever bothered by them. CAn you not ask someone to do yours for you if it makes you feel better about it?

Hi Lulu

I was scared to inject too. It took me about 4 sessions before I could do it myself.

In the beginning I kind of just mini plunged it in quickly cos that was easier than doing it slowley. Luckily I have extra tummy so I realised that it didnt hurt and then it was fine.

Youll get there and it really made me feel sooo much better I was so pleased to be able to take the meds.

Good luck

Fiona

I dont inject,, but as fi says a bit of extra tummy is useful at this time!!

Give it up to 6 doses to settle down and the headaches should go too. If you're very anxious/tense about the injection that could trigger a tension headache so try to soothe yourself about it:-)

Hi,

As Cece says once the body adapts to its 'new' drug the headaches should lessen/go. Do give it time though and remain calm whilst injecting :) Be brave, stick it in, don't think about it and treat yourself afterwards!

Good luck
