when is enough?

I have been walking 10k daily for 88 days consecutively and for 22 weeks as daily average. I have RA but also Bursitis, Plantar Faciitis and vascular issues. I am in extreme pain daily. I also experience severe insomnia. Life can be challenging however, I have not had a serious flare in seven years. Or since I initially achieved remission.

The issue now is I am stuck in a loop. I started walking in September after labs indicated level 3 CKD. After starting detox patches and walking 10k daily my labs are normal again. My GFR went from 53 to 73 and creatinine also returned to normal.

The exercise is working in reducing weight in two ways. I am out walking rather than eating from boredom and ready access. The reduced weight makes all other issues disappear. Reduced blood pressure, heart rate increased mobility and positive mental health.

I think I just found my answer. I will continue until it it impossible to continue. I started last year as a means of managing stress but stopped after Covid . Did not begin again until labs indicated it was time to change .

The advantage is living in a beautiful community . I am surrounded by ocean, old growth forests, mountains and incredible people. I love my life and my body ensures I stop on occasion to appreciate the wonders that surround us. My wish is that everyone find happiness, peace and love.

Wellness is a goal worth every effort.

Good for you. I'm a fan of exercise and diet where possible. I'm currently stuck in a pain loop atm, so resting up a bit this week. My chillest and back are killing me. I am still doing gentle exercises for both.

Good luck to you and stay well.😊

My husband currently needs both knees replaced so walking is not his best choice. He has started chair yoga which is great. He can control the intensity to go with how he feels and he walks but gently and close to home.

The key is to find your own passion. Be it swimming, yoga, walking …just do not run. It is not for tender joints or fragile bones.

Excellent attitude. It's just walking the golden line and not overdoing it to enable us to continue exercising for a long time. Challenge ourselves but listen to our bodies when it's time to rest. Onwards and upwards.
