RA team

Is there anyone on here who is under the RA Team at the James Cook Hospital in Middlesborough? My daughter is currently under a team near Catterick and they are just awful. She has sent emails and left telephone messages and hasn't heard a thing from them. I've suggested she change her consultant but would like to know if the James Cook team are as caring as mine before she actions a change. Thank you 😊

Whichever hospital one deals with …It very much depends on what she is asking for & how she has asked for it, whether a very busy rheumy team have to prioritise patient queries & how long it takes them

Has she spoken to rheumy nurses …..if she can’t get through to them…maybe a word with her GP might be able to sort things out?

I am a patient at James Cook under the care of Dr F Clark the service is amazing. There is a hot line to call and I have always received a return call the same day. They are an excellent team offering a 5 star service.

i did go to pals, they wanted a multitude of questions answered, oh and if i want a new rhemy i have to wait 6 months. there is only one care team over 2 hopstials

I would suggest contacting PALS to ask for their support. I honestly wouldn't "go down and face them" as that could come across in the wrong way and may not even get seen which is more frustrating. / Ask your GP to refer you to another hospital.

Than you all for your advice. She's done most of the suggestions already, poor things at her wits end. She's seeing GP in the new year to get a referral elsewhere. Fingers crossed it will all work out. Have a wonderful Christmas everyone. If its not a good time of year for you try and relax and do what makes you happy. Xx
