Methotrexate versus biologics (etenecept) for RA

HiI've been taking methotrexate (low dose) and hydroxychoroquine for about a year for rheumatoid arthritis. My medication needs to be increased and I have the option to try one of the biologics.

Could anybody give advice if they have changed ? I worry about being immunocompromised. Will biologics increase this?

Thanks.

Hi TMAblueI was taken off methotrexate due to it causing me to have neutropenia and was put on etanercept. I've got sJIA and it helped my inflammation and gave me some life back.

I take potent supplements and CPTG grade essential oils to help protect my immune system. I eat pretty healthily and do exercises regularly. Unfortunately I have had infections, but I manage them with oils and waterfall d mannose.

If you are constantly flaring and can't control it with the DMARDS, I would suggest trying the biologics. They helped me. Hope you get sorted x
