i just started Sulfasalazine 2 weeks ago. And my food has a very earthy taste like dirt. Has anyone experienced this? If so any suggestions to deal with the taste?

Wait & see how SSZ works for you, Maybe if you feel so much better on it that odd taste might fade?
Which style of tablet are they, circle or oval?
I can only say that I never took to Sulfasalazane. It always made me feel nauseous, and I titrated really slowly as a result. When I did get to the full dose I was violently sick for 24 hours and it was agreed I should stop. Had no problems on methotrexate which was really effective for me. We're all different so let your doctor/nurse know about your symptoms.
I’m newly on sulfasalazine and food and drinks just don’t taste normal. I was on methotrexate but had hair loss. Now I’m having with the SZN. Bummer
