Hi, I have had a TKR to both in the last 2 years. A friend lent me a cuff called a Cryocuff which compresses and cools the knee. It really helped. They are expensive to buy but they canbe hired.
I was given crutches with special handles, designed for arthritic hands and they helped too.
Everything gets better after two weeks - hope it all goes well. X
