We were advised by RA nurse at the last NRAS group not to take biologics for 2 weeks after vaccine at last half of us said that boat sailed 3 weeks ago as we’d had vaccine then. Lol
There isn’t a right or wrong answer is there. Having had covid twice and was ok. Once only 4 weeks ago, I’m not having any more and hadn’t had one for what must be , over 18 months or more. I’ve lost all track of time 😂😂😂
I stopped at 4, but I did chance the flu jab..,all OK so far. I think my immune system is confused enough without having umpteen vaccination “just in case” But some people would be too worried not to have every jab they are offered.
I’ve had Covid once & have had worse colds….if I live to regret not having more jabs..it’s my own fault.
I never used to even take a paracetamol, so having biologics and MTX was a shock for me. I don’t want to introduce yet more pharmaceuticals into the mix so decided to stop.
As you say, if we live to regret it, only ourselves to blame 😀
At 73, with RA, a new hip last year and a very new knee (7 weeks) I'm not going to be dancing the wildest ceilidh dances with happy abandon. But I can still remember the glorious feeling of it.And I do intend to do more gentle dancing once my knee has settled.
That’s the main thing .,,keep going…nobody wants a person parading their pain at the party…don’t go along in the hope of spending the whole evening being cosseted ….take time out to get your meds sorted…then get out & enjoy yourself.
No you won't regret it, as I never took the vaccine, and I watched my family being very sick from covid after the vaccine and I got covid from them, and they were alot sicker than me, they had covid 2 andx3 times and I just had it once, natural immunity is best.
I had both mine recently and the same experience. I'm happy to keep having whatever is offered. I've been lucky enough to avoid COVID so far and although I've been relatively careful, I've never shielded and have continued to work and go out and about.
I had my booster almost a fortnight ago. Same result as you, just a sore arm for a day or two. I arrange my jabs to be midway between my monthly COSENTYX and will do the same for the flu jab.
I also had my 7th covid jab about 2 weeks ago. I was very nervous beforehand as jabs 1 to 6 caused horrendous flares that seemed to get worse every time. However, number 7 was uneventful - just a sore arm for a couple of days and the day after the jab, I slept a lot at night and also napped throughout the day. No RA flare though. Absolutely no joint pain or inflammation at all... what a relief!
Hi all I also had my 7th one sat covid in one arm flu in other slightly sore arm that’s all I have not had any reaction to any of the jabs so far touch wood so been lucky
I have read the latest advice is to stop methotrexate injections for 2 weeks after covid jabs I stopped for 1 week after others with no noticable flares so only stopping 1 week this time what do any of you lovely people do x
I had a phone review with rheumy nurse recently and took the opportunity to ask her. She said to miss 2 x mtx if possible, so I will unless I get the slightest inkling of action from the RA. In which case it will be mtx that evening, no matter what night it is.
