Swelling and disfigurement : Hi, I've been getting a... - NRAS
Swelling and disfigurement
Many years back it was swelling in my hands that were the first symptoms which took me to my GP and led to RA diagnosis. Within weeks I developed inflammation in many other joints elbows shoulders knees feet jaw. But we are all different and there are many causes of joint pain and many types of treatment. Only a Dr can give an accurate diagnosis as to what is behind an individuals inflammation.
Uncontrolled inflammation caused by RA over time can lead to specific joint disfigurement which is why X-rays are used to monitor disease progression and effectiveness of drugs. If diagnosed with RA and inflammation is well controlled with drug therapies then long term joint damage, disfigurement and disability is reduced.
mine is psoriatic arthritis, only affects toes and fingers but can happen quite quickly, the finger in the photo only took 6 weeks to destroy itself
I get psoriasis, I've got shingles at the moment
Maco, what medication do you take ?
Too much, amlodipine, lisinopril, omeprozole, Clonazepam, tramadol, thiamine gabapentin, simvastatin, paracetamol, buscopan, mebeverine, adcal d3 for osteoporosis
I have been on over the last 15 year: methotrexate, sulfusalyzine, plaqeunil, Arava/leflunomide. Probably why my liver is stressed out…….
Same here
plus metformin for type 2 , rosuvarstatin for cholesterol and candersartin
sounds like it , I can only say if RA it is very painful .
