Pins and needles

January 19th I was having a flare up in right side of neck, shoulder , which continued down my arm to my wrist. I thought at the time to grin and bear it as usually my flare ups only last a few days in one area and move on somewhere else. By the 25th the pain was so bad I couldn’t drive my car. That evening my husband was out for the night looking after our grandsons while our daughter was on a night shift. I was on my way to bed Glass of water in left hand and using right hand to hold onto bannister ( fortunately I’d only gone up two steps) when I lost my grip and fell backwards onto my right side. I managed to get up after a while and spent the rest of night unable to sleep on a recliner. My husband took me to A&E next morning. I really thought my arm was broken , and was experiencing pins and needles in thumb and index finger ,but nothing showed up on X-ray Prescribed pain relief ( which never relieve pain during flair ups) Fortunately had a Rheumatologist appointment coming up. Advised to double up on Hydroxychloroquine ( I also take Methotrexate sub / cut. I’m still in pain , but not as bad but pins and needles intense.

maybe go and talk to GP in case somethimg unrelated to RA like a pinched nerve in your shoulder?
