Is anyone else having problems gettingSulfasalazine. Went to get my prescription yesterday and was told there is a shortage and they weren't sure when it might be available.

Thanks for your replies. I have tried a few other pharmacies near enough to travel with the same reply. As I run out today, I will contact my rheumy nurse. It's not the first time this has happened in recent months but last time I was able to get half supply at a time. Maybe I live to remotely (Cornwall) 👍😀😎

I was told by my pharmacist that it was difficult to get hold of at the moment, so yes.

no problem for me. Popped my prescription in at the local pharmacy and they had it in stock to dispense immediately.

Still a shortage where I am but was given 2 weeks supply to tide me over

I'm in British Columbia, Canada, and had the pharmacy tell me they didn't have any Sulfasalazine about 6 months ago. Called the Rheumatologist, who called the pharmacy about whether they had the non-coated kind. They did. So I got those until these 'ec' shipment came in 2 months ago. Pharmacy did not realize the two were the same drug. Maybe that could solve your problem.
