Rinvoq

Morning, hope your all doing ok ?

Just a quick question had a flare up of psoriasis with Benepali and MTX. Both were stopped then recommenced MTX and my psoriasis appeared to flare up again. I have recently been commenced on Rinvoq and I was experiencing dizziness and nausea. My blood pressure has also been extremely high and have had to commence amolodipine. Anyone else had similar issues. I have obviously with held Rinvoq until I can speak to my Rheumatology team. I am not having much luck with RA medication at the moment 😓.

I am on Rinvoq and have only suffered those symptoms early in the morning if it is outwith my routine. My body likes a slow wake up and ease into the day and then I’m fine, I will have a cup of tea in bed. The mornings when I’m in a rush and head to the car instead of having tea then I am nauseous. Can’t explain it. I take my Rinvoq when I go to bed.

Sounds more like your blood pressure, which incidentally I also have high blood pressure and I’m on amolodipine.

Did your dizziness and sickness stop when you stopped the Rinvoq? Normally people are put on Rinvoq when they have bad side effects from other drugs as this tends to be the one you don’t have the side effects with (I was on 10 drugs before this and this has been a lifesaver for me). Always worth contacting your rheummy team asap and see what they say.

Had to stop Rinvoq, didn't work for me. B/pressure went up, tired, swelling/ stiff, etc. Hope it works for you.
