Right Hip replaced 12 weeks ago good recovery walking normal exercise as told now sudden deep bad buttock pain limping lower back pain, help

Either ring your GP or surgeons secretary. I rang the secretary and one of the team phoned me for a discussion . I had problems 4 months post replacement with tendons,muscle pain and had a steroid injection.

Thanks I did see consultant he said to get my back checked with my chiropractor then see him again good to know that there is steroid route to go down as I feel the deep buttock pain is muscular knocked me back considerably did you get sciatic nerve problems as well

No I had tendonitis around hip replacement area.

“Sounds like” piriformis syndrome. Very painful. I had it years ago.

Yes I had that too. It does sound like similar symptoms. Mine was fixed with a steroid injection. Disappointing for you after such a good recovery from your surgery though. Good luck - hope they fix it for you soon.

My back being checked today see what he says then I think back to consultant as in terrible pain even at rest so need something to be done thank you for your reply
