A good friend of mine is seriously considering moving to North Norfolk as rheumatology services are so dire where we live. She has asked me to find out if anyone knows anything about ra provision around Kings Lynn, Norwich, Great Yarmouth, lowestoft, Sheringham and Cromer. I’d be grateful of any information I could pass on to her. Thanks in advance!

Norwich have been great, unfortunately staffing in covid has made the helpline a bit unreliable , but otherwise very helpful and listen to what you say
Hi, I made the move to just outside Sheringham just over a year ago.I have found the Rheumy team at NNUH brilliant. I feel very looked after. I’ve used the helpline several times and had a call back within the hour. if you call / message within the time slots I think it works!
There is an outpatients Rheumy clinic at Cromer hospital, but my consultant is Norwich based which is fine. I had a f2f with her initially then phone appointments. I feel very happy about the service.
I find I have to be quite proactive with Sheringham medical centre, but on the whole have found them fine too.
The biggest boost to my health has been the fabulous area, it’s so beautiful here, so much to do and so many great walks. I’m so much healthier and happier. Sheringham is a wonderful place to live - a really caring community.
Hi I'm in Norfolk and attend the Queen Elizabeth at King's lynn, they have a new rheumatology consultant which I met just yesterday, the specialist nurses are great. Cannot fault the hospital. Lots of building maintenance and department changes at the moment, basically we are waiting to see if we are going to get a new hospital built. Best wishes Sarah
