Post-op hip pain

I had a hip replacement over 2 years ago but last couple of days the pain has been awful 😞 .. has this happened to anyone else ? x

Yes…but I had a very nasty fall and ‘damaged’ it. It’s not quite recovered. You must get it xrayed as a start, they also gave me an MRI. It’s not normal so please get it checked out urgently.

Agree with Madmusickover. My husband had a hip replacement about five years ago - you shouldn’t be having any pain with it at all so you definitely need to get it seen to as soon as possible. A&E maybe?

Spent all evening in A&E - It’s sciatica apparently 😣x

Been at A&E all evening 😩 it’s sciatica apparently-got tramadol and Valium 👍🏼X

Did they X-ray your hip - or just decide that was what it was from how you described it?

No - he did some leg strength tests which were all ok and diagnosed sciatica from where the pain was. Not so painful today 👍🏼X

Oh that’s good. 😊 Sciatica really is awful. I don’t think unless you’ve had it you can understand how awful it is.
