Hello, I have severe Ankyolosing Spondylitis I am thinking of moving to the Cleveleys area of Lancashire. Can anyone in the area recommend a good Rheumatologist please. I think Blackpool hospital would be the nearest hospital. Thank you.

Hiya Stephanie. Yes, Blackpool Victoria Hospital would be the closest Rheumatology Dept. I'm sorry but I can't recommend a Rheumy, not since mine left & took a post at Preston Royal.

Hi, I dont post really but in answer to your question the rheumatologist at Blackpool Vic is Dr Jones his team are very good but you need to speak to your GP.Hope that helps.

It would be the Vic and I'm sorry to say I couldn't recommend them if you have any problems. They are massively understaffed and flares are dealt with by going through a&e and ending on a non specialist ward, not that anyone tells you that. If your ra is stable probably ok.
