My Right lower Eyelid started to swelled up and it hurts

So yesterday morning my lower right eyelid started to hurt a little bit, but it really didn't bother me much. But on the same night it started to swell and hurts to the touch. I really don't know if it's a "Stye or Chalazion" or something worse. I'm planning to get it check out after a week to see if it gets worse or not. Right now it hurts a little bit when I blink and stings when I try to touch the swelled area. So anyways I need an assessment or something since I'm kinda anxious by it. Thanks 😊

Update: It was a stye, I just kept applying hot compress on my eye 6-7 mins a day. Once in the morning and before I go to sleep. My opthalmologist told me to just leave it alone and clean it twice a day with baby soap mixed with hot water to avoid irration. She prescribed me with some pain killer eye drops aswell but I don't think it will be necessary. Anyways I just wanna say Thank you for all the suggestion from this community

That sounds like you need to sppeak to a dr. darling. I have bags under my eyes and it is dry as well. Could it be Sjorgens syndrome. You need to speak to someone darling.xxxx

Seeing u post that your eyes r dry, as r mine even with drops. My Optician told me to buy an Optase moist heat mask. You put it in microwave for a few seconds then wear it until it cools. It gets your tear ducts working….it is brilliant. £11 I think

You’d be quicker going to see your local optician/optometrist . It does look like a Stye or a chalazion though but an optician will be the best person to tell you they know a lot more about eyes - probably the easiest to get an appointment with too, if your doctors are anything like the ones where I live.

Looks like a good old fashioned stye…..show it to your pharmacist….quicker than trying to see your GP…& they will tell you how to deal with it.

We can't diagnose I’m afraid, we're just people with rheumatoid/joint diseases. I don't think it's directly rheumatoid related but you do need to see your doctor or an optician straight away, whoever it is easiest to get an appointment with in the Philippines. If it needs treatment it will respond better the quicker it is treated rather than leaving it a week. You admit you are anxious so get it looked at by a professional. Good luck.

Good luck with getting a Doctors appointment if you're in the UK. The NHS is collapsing and most GP's are not keen on doing face to face appointments. If you want a Rheumatology appointment pencil in an appointment for a few months time if you're lucky. That's been my experience.

That looks sore. It looks like a stye but I would suggest going to your pharmacist. He/she will advise you. In the meantime, try not to touch it, you could make it worse.

Contact your local optician … they seem to be dealing with all eye related problems now as GPS no longer do. I found the local boots optician extremely helpful , easy to get an appointment and they gave me the antibiotic drops I needed there and then . Hope you get it sorted soon!

I had a chalazion many years ago; just on the rim of the lid, but the area below the eye didn't swell like yours. The chalazion was quickly removed (they are common). But your eye area looks infected. Shouldn't be left undiagnosed. Get it seen too.

It looks very much like a stye. If you can't get an appointment with your GP quickly it might be worth popping along to see your local pharmacist as they can often give you something without the need for a prescription (and it's sometimes cheaper).
