Has anyone taking Rituxan and or Prednisone have any problems with their hair? Like hair falling out or being coarse?

I’m sorry to hear you are having hair problems. I’m on a different Rituximab biosimilar (Rixathon) and was on Prednisolone with it for over a year. I did not lose any hair but it did feel slightly more coarse. I tried taking collagen supplements but it did not make a noticeable difference for me. The only time I lost any hair was nearly three years ago when I was on methotrexate but that was stopped when I developed pneumonitis.

Hi Zeke , I have had similar problems with thinning coarse hair . I found that argan oil or similar helped , i just apply it to the ends . If things get bad i leave it on over night . I haven’t tried any supplements, i have noticed people recommending biotin ?

I think a recent increased dose of prednisolone is making mine a bit coarser. I changed my shampoo & it's lots better.

Don't forget that being ill in itself may affect your hair - it's useful to consider the hair follicle cycle and that you may get hair loss about 12 weeks after a flare. healthline.com/health/stage...

Hello, I have been taking prednisolone for almost 19 years. Every time I brush my hair I am aware that I am losing some hair, but it has only been in the last 2 or 3 years that this has become noticeable. Also, I am in my late seventies so it is possible this would have happened anyway. It really hasn’t been a problem up till now. Hope you manage to resolve your problem.
