After much deliberation I have decided to continue with my planned Christmas staying with my brother in Cheshire and all that it entails. I will wear my mask and be cautious but if I didn’t, I would be alone for the week and I’m not sure I could handle that again.
I’m flabbergasted that our government are pursuing political gain over public health and Scotland are not making a stand. The scientist and medical professions are being ignored, it’s worrying.
Anyway, what will be, will be…
Wishing you all a very merry Christmas xx

Fabulous it is meant to be that you do what is right for you and being on your own is not right for you. I hope many do what they want this Christmas on this site as we all need a moment of just being us and whether with family friends or on your own it is important. Have a lovely time x
Its a no win situation, so go and enjoy a break with your family. I'm afraid I'm seeing the son and his family as another Christmas seeing them through glass isn't something I want to do again. They test regularly and even do the 2 year old so will be careful but if you can get it so easily then I'm not sure it'll be possible to avoid it completely. I hope you have a lovely time. x
Oh lucky you! I was told that the people organising the vaccination programme in my area are not working this week.... not even a locum appointed! This means a delay in my 4th jab which seems to be counter-productive ... I am eligible now, can't book on NHS, have to ring GP who tell me staff not on duty.... It feels a bit Kafka-esque ..... Not good for the anxious among us! Oh well, Happy Christmas one and all!
