Hi, Doggybone posted exactly the same query at the same time as you a couple of hours ago. I replied as follows and others have replied too to Doggybone:

Same vaccines and dose (unless you’re being given a half dose of Moderna as a fourth vaccine (our booster), and we are not at that stage yet.) lt’s just different terminology. It’s our ”third primary dose” as immunosuppressed patients and for NON-immunosuppressed, it’s classed as their booster. As immunosuppressed we'll get a fourth vaccine in six months which will be our booster. We get an extra one basically .. This current third primary dose. x

No it isn't. I was given the choice of the third vaccine or the booster..a doctor spoke to me and it took 30 minutes to check but they told me that a third vaccine gave me more protection so that's what I did. I'll have a booster in six months. People with immune suppressed conditions are being offered a third vaccine as the booster lasts less.

Hi, I was sure that is not what has been recommended in the official government “green document” and JCVI documentation online. A couple of days ago someone kindly posted two links to these. There is still a lot of confusion even from the medical and admin staff giving the third vaccines to the immuno-suppressed.

I wonder if NRAS are able to do a pinned post/links on this third vaccine and the booster for the immunosuppressed, to help anyone who is still not sure. x

Yes that would be good. I notice on my NHS app it says Pfizer booster..so now I am even more confused.....

Yes, we should be given an mRNA vaccination as third primary dose or booster (our booster.) There won’t be the option to record it easily as third primary dose as yet on the App, etc. Several people on here have said similar that the vaccine staff hadn’t the option to do anything but record as booster on their computers. Glad you’ve got it done anyhow and you’ll still get a booster invite in six months of nothing changes with the regs.
