Covid booster jab availible all over Northern Ireland

Hi everyone I got my booster jab today at a pharmacy in Northern Ireland and when I got home tuned into the Nolan show on BBC radio Ulster and heard a report of a lot of people (over 50) complaining they still have not got their first, second or booster and waiting for their GP to call. If you live in N. Ireland just go to the website below and book an apointment with this pharmacy. There are over 30 of them here.

Is that for everyone or just the over 50s or vulnerable?

I'm in N Ireland too Frankiefocus, but as I've received a letter for the third primary dose I have to go to a vaccination centre. Bit of a pain having to travel as going to a pharmacy would have been easier! And I never heard from my gp regarding the covid jab and the flu one too. We're really behind over here compared to the rest of the UK.

I cancelled my appointment as it was 50 mile away and book at my local Gordons pharmacy instead. There must be one near you.

yup indeed. When I rang early Sept to ask GP re 3rd dose and flu vaccine as I'm 78+ and CEV was told we'll ring you as soon as .... No call. But 5 days later RVH rang to come the next day for Pfizer so I took them up and despite crowds and many unmasked in the queue got it done. Still no word from GP but husband was passing and saw queues so asked and joined the queue himself. He got an appt for his booster and flu jab, and one 4me for flu jab all next week. So disorganised is a fair description of the ?service here. Still can't understand why the Covid passport/cert I received recently didn't record my 3rd dose tho'... maybe our medical aren't computerised yet ?? Were they ever?? Nor can we email our GPs or see our med records... aasI understand it !!

Did you get a third primary dose or the booster? I have to travel that far as well so I rang the number on my Hosiptal letter to complain and she told me unfortunately with the primary doses only the clinics can do them as I need another one in the spring.

I got the Moderna booster yesterday, I have to admit I had a ruff night sleep and my arm was very sore and ache all over. My first two shots were Astra and did not have this effect. I took a Naproxen and feel better so it must of kick of a mini flare and feeling ok now. If your travelling far to get the next shot do what I did and just goto gordons websight and book it with your local Gordons pharmacy as theres 31 of them in N.Ireland and cancle your long trip. I think there are two primary doses then a booster, I have never heard of a third primary dose.

I’m under 50 so I’m unable to use the pharmacy and below is part of my Hosiptal letter showing the third primary dose is different than the booster jab. I did ring the number provided and was told I could use the clinics.

yep, all very frustrating! At the RVH they told me I was getting a 3rd dose, not a booster... they said the next dose wd be next March which I can't understand as Rheumatology insisted that my first two doses of AZ had to be just 4 weeks apart -due to the infusion drug I am on {Truxima]. So exhausted / enraged at the risky and germ ridden situation there that it didn't occur to me to ask why , just trying to control that 'get me outta here' urge. Now trying to make sense of travelling rules and regs, hoping to get away..
