I had a funny turn today. I was walking into the kitchen and went really dizzy and felt like I was on a boat in high waves! Falling over and trying to stay upright, when I laid down I then could not lift my head off the pillow without the room spinning and thought I was going to be sick. Even when I closed my eyes the room was spinning. Very werid and scary. I eventually fell asleep, but when I woke up I carefully had to edge myself off the bed slowly. All day I felt out of sorts, the dizziness has left now. I have no idea why I felt like that. I felt so ill, but am pleased I can go to work tomorrow. I take 40mg of Humeria and am still waiting for it to kick in and I take hdyro, lefluomid and codeine for the pain and naproxen too. Thanks for listening. Take care v

Funny turn!
I get dizzy and some of this is to do with meds I am on so worth checking this and also a call to check with GP maybe as back up if it happens again. I get mine if sit up to quickly and walk in a 'fast' manner and then comes the head rush. Not nice I have to say.
Are you used to Codeine? I’m not really and I used it recently after an op and it worked well for pain but made me feel quite wobbly and queasy. Do let your GP and rheumy know if it sure that improve very soon. Hope you already have started to feel better. 🙏🏻
I had the exact same thing happen to me a few weeks ago and like you it really frightened me as it came on so suddenly, i also felt out of sorts all that day so i requested a call from my GP and after telling him exactly what happened he said it was a form of vertigo called BPPV which is when a crystal gets stuck in the inner ear so he sent me a prescription for anti sickness tablets and some exercises to do 3 times a day to dislodge the crystal back and they worked. I was so relieved once i had spoke to him as i had imagined all sorts of things wrong with me. X
Hi, over the past year I have had this every couple of months, i literally have to put a pillow over my head to stop the clashing, it takes a good day to get over it and then for a few weeks after I have a blocked ear that buzzes constantly and sounds like I have Pac-Man in my head when I bend over, I contacted the doctor the first time and he gave me some anti sickness tablets then this time he has prescribed Nasonex, he thinks it is a sinus problem which I have been prone to over the years but I do wonder if it’s something to do with the inflammatory arthritis ( I am diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis ) I am to give it 2 weeks to see if it cures the blocked ear so I don’t know how it will pan out. I too am on Luflonamide, I also take Tramadol and lyrica for back and nerve problems Hope you feel better soon.
That sounds like Vertigo ?? I have a condition called BPPV it flares up occasionally and the GP can prescribe pills for the couple of days it lasts. It's just a bit weird but the grit in the inner ear moves and it makes people very dizzy and often violently sick. And I've had it about 3/4 times over 30 years so no often. Beware turning sharply for a while and its cured by the GP doing the Eplay manoeuvre if it lasts more than a day or so. Or an ENT expert if your gP can't do it there are exercises to do too online. Might be worth a go ?
I think you probably had an attack of vertigo. As it cleared up after only one day it may not happen again but do mention it to your medic next time you see him/her. Con amore Bx
This sounds like vertigo, you need to contact your GP to get some medication.👍
Hi there! I had a similar experience and ended up in hospital with vestibular neuronitis! It was an imbalance in my inner ear which made me feel like I was on a boat. Seek medical help doc can give tablets to help. Good luck 🤞🏻
