What a lovely Saturday it is for October..........

Well good morning(well it was still morning when i started tyoing this) ANd how are we all on this warm October day. It is so unseasonal for the time of the year isn't it.

Well this morning Bob dropped me up the village while he went down the allotment and did some digging. I got the shopping and came back on my scooter. When i got home i put the shopping away and went upstairs where i put all my summer sandals away. and brought out all my winter shoes and boots, While i was on a roll i went into the garden(i love my garden) and got some galdioli bulbs up ready to store them for winter. I came in for a break. After my break the garden called me again and i went and cut back my willow bush that was my mums (and she has been dead 21yrs and i had it before she died) Well i did all that and by then Bob was home so i finished for the day apart from putting my tools away.

This afternoon i have a pre-op clinic down the hospital as i have to have a cataract taken off my right eye. My eye has been giving me lots of problems like i can't see out of it very well and i get double vision with it as well.

My fingers are still giving me hell and my right middle finger is so swollen now and it is sore and hot to touch. I hate RA i really do. What it is doing to my body is horrid. I look so well as i have been told today. I just wish i felt as well as i look. At least i got out on this beautiful sunny day.

Have a lovely afternoon everyone. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hello Sylvi

Good morning to you too! Yes it is nice and sunny in our neck of the woods today isn't it? Streaming through my bedroom window. Glad you've had a little trip out. I was going to remind you about the pre-op, but I don't need to now!😉😄

Hope it all goes well (although it will, of course)! Don't forget to ask about the timing of your booster jab and having an anaesthetic (even if it's a local).

BTW, when I was over the road at hospital on Thursday, I noticed that the general pre-op bit wasn't in the Tenby day unit at the moment like it was before. I don't know though, whether you just go to the eye clinic area for an eye pre-op? Hopefully you've been told where to go ............... !? Oops, hope I haven't confused the issue!!😁xxx

Excellent- I'm glad you know where you're going. God knows where the general pre-op is at the moment. I expect we'll have fun trying to find it next week!! Perhaps that's the first test to pass in order to get a op? If you can't find pre-op, you don't get done!! One way of getting those waiting lists down xxx😆😆

Sunny, not sunny here in West Suffolk, just wet and cold. Yes people say to me "your looking well" trouble is my insides disagree with one health issue or another so I do understand what you say. However you do seem to have had quite a productive day, time for some rest now. xxx

Hi sylvi so glad your able to get out and about now and do your garden. Hope all well for your cataract. 💐Sunny here and I’m having a quiet day while hubby and eldest grandson go off to football to watch Reading play they both have season tickets. Chance for me to carry on sorting bedroom cupboards and get stuff ready for charity shop. Went to Reading town centre shopping, 1st time I’ve been there since 1st lockdown last year. There was quite a few shops that have closed down.

It was good to actually physically shop rather than online and felt safe in the shops.

That’s why I’m having a sort out to offset what I bought on Wednesday 😄

Hope everyone is having a good day and enjoying the late sunshine 🌞

That's so lovely that you have the willow from your mum after 21 years! I'm learning to garden, figure I need to use it or lose it with my hands. Do you have any tips for gardening with RA in the hands?

sylvi, what a lovely post, glad you managed to enjoy the lovely sunshine. We had heavy rain late morning but it cleared up to be a nice day. Hope your eye op goes well, once it's done you will be able to see much better. These damn joints are a nuisance aren't they, wish I could wave a magic wand!!😂Have a lovely Sunday😙xx

The pre-op went well and i will be getting it done before Christmas. We spent more time waiting around that actually seeing someone. I had my eyes checked and then i saw another dr who went through a list of questions then i saw a consultant who wanted to know why i wanted it done and i said because my vision is being spoiled by it. The cheeky so and so asked did my dad bring me, as he thought i looked too young, he was just being funny and it did break the ice. Well that was that the paperwork signed and now the wait begins. xxxxx
