I want the heat back please as my joints prefer it. Where is that August mini heatwave we were promised? Did I blink and miss it? 🙄😁

Yes your turn, but I'm like lolabridge. I need to move somewhere warm as about 9/10 months of the year the weather affects me. Yes it's good for a lot of people for the weather to change.

I think we had it in June and now it will appear when schools open again...an Indian summer x

My RA seems ok with the heat, too. Good thing because it was 32*C to 42*C for most of the summer.

Humid here today 😕. I think we should be prescribed a month in the Caribbean every Jan/Feb…

I am trying to get back to golf, but go out with strapping and supports on my wrists and knees and even elbows sometimes 😂

Membership of my outdoor spa would suit me fine, social medicine has great proven benefits .

Good news 👍

Perhaps I should go and buy one of those cheap properties in Southern Italy near my daughters husbands family. It’s 36 degrees there today. ☀️ 🌞🌅🕶😎

I'm plodding which is what I have done since my covid drama in January. Two weeks of hols left then back to inset before the madness of year one starts. Got an interesting group of kids this year so it will defo he fun...

New bathroom hey sounds fun...How's it coming along?

in reply to Ms-D

Don’t ask !!’ 2 weeks is now 3 no end insight 🙄prisoner in the house as they just disappear for parts for 3 hours or so .

Where has the holidays gone . I still don’t know if I have a job or not . So presuming I’m going back . Lots of new staff as old ones have left. Covid pushed them over the edge . They are all long term staff so good pensions .x

My joints dislike the heat the damp the cold.......my head itches in cold drafts....my. arms ache also........so i never feel comfortable.......every chair. bed is extremely hard.....i have had five matteress in two years.....my cloths irritate my skin......my hair feels like a twig when it touches me....Lockdown enhanced all of the above.......when i sleep seems my only escape.....if i sleep......its now more cat naps....i awake in pain.....I cling to a far off memory when getting in to bed was soft cosy warm safe relaxing....

And i loved the warmth of the sun and embraced the rain and winds....

Not the night mare it has become......

I do understand I too suffer all you mentioned. For hair collagen and biotin made a big difference. The rest of your symptoms I have had sometime just diagnosed with fibromyalgia medication does help it also helps with sleep which has been disturbed and un refreshing for years . the biggest breakthrough was a weighted blanket recommended by Deeb who really suffers all these symptoms too and I can honestly say a life changer . I was sceptical so only bought a cheaper one on Amazon and went for a lighter weight than recommended. My husband laughed at me when it arrived now wants one 😂these things work for me

How much is the weighted blanket I have poor sleep

in reply to Vonnie10

There are some expensive ones . I got mine from Amazon - keeptoptech £30 for a double about £25 for a single. Some do a 30 day trial if you don’t get on with it .

I am an expat (English) living in Serbia where this summer's temperatures have been up over 36. Unusual for here when it is normally around 28 during summer. Conversely normal winter is around -10 to plus 18C . However, no matter what it is my joint pain is neither better nor worse. I am at a loss how to treat it. Knitting has kept my fingers, arms and shoulders wonderfully mobile, a tip from my physio many years ago that has helped me so much. I had told him I had elbow pain and was giving up he said Don't and how right he was. But my knees are incrediby painful and I do not want the injections because I heard they destroy remaining tissue eventually? I am at a loss to know what pain killers to take because every night I awake after just a few hours to stiff and painful knees. Paracetamol does not help at all Ibuprofen does,, but then I read it is bad for the elderly?

I also have happy feet! 🤣

I think it is something to do with air pressure not necessarily hot or cold. A friend of mine who flew a little plane was able to tell me when I was aching before I said anything- high pressure more aches🙋🏻‍♀️
