RA with knee?

I have (what's been referred to) as severe RA. I've ALWAYS flared up in my hands, wrists, and shoulder. Suddenly, my knee popped out of the joint when climbing the stairs. Can RA Flare up in one knee like that? FYI my RA factor is 252 (yep) really!

I have issues with my knees. I am hyper-mobile so often feel like they are going to pop out of place. Speak to a physio.

Thank you. So just to confirm...I am not seeing any major swelling or hot to touch or really any typical flare signs. I was simply climbing up a stair, my knee popped out of joint and now it's very painful and cracks when bent. This could be my RA?

See if you have Hyper-Mobility Syndrome. A MSK physio will give you strengthening exercises. It correlates to a more aggressive disease course. Self-refer or ask your GP to (depends on local health authority).

What did the hospital tell you about it? Did they say what they thought happened?

I would be going straight to the rheumatologist with that.

Yep! First thing Monday. I'm just not looking forward to yet another health challenge. Probably another doctor, xrays, mri, it NEVER end for us does it? I try to do everything right too. Eat right, exercise, take the meds and it still seems to find me, hurt me, and shit on me (to put it mildly). You think hey, I'm in remission, I made it and here comes that reminder of your illness in play.

Yip. The joy of our conditions. Its like having a buzzer going off and when a joint starts its like "What next?"

I thank my lucky stars though I'm alive, woke up this morning anyway. Many have it worse. I'm not in a wheelchair, or ventalator, I can walk to the bathroom, omg...so many worse things to have. We are actually blessed

Yes so true. I think the same. Have 2 close friends passed away in their early 40s, one with a brain tumour, the other with MS. Then I think I am lucky and grateful for my RA!
