I have calluses under my feet together with corns. Until the pandemic I took them to the podiatrist two or three times a year, which kept them under control. During lockdown I creamed my feet one night a week and slept in socks. In the morning after my shower I rasped the calluses with a file I bought from Boots. This worked very well for eighteen months but I have since been told that I should rasp my feet before my shower. Hope this helps.
Try CS cream from Superdrug. It is about £6 for a tube which lasts for ages. I rub it round my heels and the pressure points on my feet - under the ball/side of my foot and the side of the big toe. My feet are lovely and soft whereas I used to get very hard skin which I could sometimes pull off. I think there are two creams - one for the heels and one for the feet. I use the heel one. I rub it round my feet every morning after a shower. It works well for psoriasis as well. It is also nice to have a pedicure - I had one last Saturday and there was hardly any hard skin for them to remove.
