Just wondering if anyone would know if this horrible disease can cause a crushing pain between shoulders and at the top of the spine. I went for a swim on Thursday and on Friday afternoon the pain started. I was in tears with it last night. It feels hot inside too. I have been so tired lately. I do have a lot of stress going on in the family but this heavy feeling is horrible x

Can RA cause a crushing pain in shoulders/spine?
Yes, it probably is RA. It can cause all types of pain, everywhere! I even have jaw pain
Thank you, it seems to pop up everywhere x
When I was at my worst, I remember trying to sleep, and the entire left side of my body would go numb. All kinds of crazy sensations, never mind pain. I thought I was going to die. RA is so much more than just joint pain. Once it's somewhat controlled, it's such a life altering relief.
So true. It made such a difference when I went onto Rituximab but that was about 7 years ago and it doesn't seem to be as effective anymore, especially since they started using a bio-similar. x
Ugg I'm so sorry to hear that. Is there anyway you can get back to the non biosimilar...it would be an interesting experiment to see if that's the cause for it's ineffectiveness and then maybe you can fight to get it back 🤷🏻♀️
I would most certainly contact your Rheumatologist and keep a diary of symptoms and daily activities to guide him / her. Have you considered AS or been investigated for it?
I’m sorry to hear this. My shoulder and neck pain is osteo but I know about unexplained pain and fatigue. I think I would ring the rheumy advice line.
Thank you for your reply. I will give them a call x
That's horrible.I had such a bad pain in my shoulder, pre methotrexate, I drove myself to A and E! That's after having 4 children with no pain relief, I hope you get sorted x
I get a lot of shoulder, upper, middle and lower back pain...pain anywhere in fact.It might be worthwhile mentioning to your rheumatologist.
