Fatigue

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone is prescribed anything for chronic fatigue? I take folic acid five days a week and do all the obvious pacing myself / not overdoing it / gentle exercise.

Fatigue my biggest symptom of RA it totally changed the person I was. I tried everything read everything but now realise it was because my disease was not controlled . The right medication is now working and my fatigue is much improved but still need to be careful I don’t over do it .

Yes I know when my biologic drug is wearing off and the control of my RA diminished because I become more fatigued. Right now I’m suffering!

I recommend you call your Rheumy to let them know when fatigue is a problem as they could tweak your medication to see if it will make a difference.

The problem with fatigue is that there isn't an easy 'prescribe this' answer. In most people the fatigue does seem to be linked to the activity of the disease.

If you are still having a lot of problems with fatigue, talk to your medical team about it. You may need an increase or change in your treatment for your Rheumatoid Disease.

Cutting back on sugar has greatly reduced my fatigue

I will try this as I do eat a lot of "hidden" sugar.
