That's good E. You can see the shading, or whatever you'd call it.

It is ! I once read a children’s book when I was four and in it some mice went to the moon and took a big bite out of it as they said the moon was made of cream cheese! That book always sticks in my mind! 😁

I love childhood memories. They stay with us, especially those from books where the story really catches our imagination. It was blue cheese for me, though when I got that from I’m not sure, Mum or

Dad probably told me it was.

Me too. I’d like it to be made of Wensleydale but I love so many cheeses .. just never Reblochon or Stinking Bishop! 😖😝 I still may have the book although it would be packed away in the loft! Not entirely sure as when we had to let the CH engineer in to install some additional radiators some years ago whilst we were away he stole several items from the loft but we didn’t find out till until much later about five years after. 😖😢

That's awful. You let workmen into your home & you not only trust them to do a good job but also that they're trustworthy.

I love Wensleydale too but it's a creamy Lancashire that I’d choose first off a cheeseboard, though I do love a good goats cheese, ooo or dolcelatte, yum.

Wensleydale first then Lancashire then Caerphilly and Cheshire. I’m not into uncooked goats cheese .. it’s the smell. Love it cooked. I love a really strong vintage cheddar too. Also many of the lovely Austrian and Swiss cheeses. Cheese rules! I try not to go cheese crazy though.

Just one unscrupulous guy came to do the CH and it’s the first time we ever did that and left someone. We returned late and tired on a Saturday night from Portugal to find he’d left the old radiator on top of our bed (why? It was dirty) and cartons of milk opened and spilled and gone off and not returned to the fridge, and several packets of biscuits opened and abandoned and wet/soggy near the sink. What a troglodyte. He was a disgrace and I told him so. He did a good job but he was a nightmare.

Troglodyte! Not heard that for a while. Apt in the circumstances. Why on earth would he leave a radiator on a bed, that's just odd.

Cooked goats cheese takes me back to the most wonderful salad I had in Orange one road trip down to Spain. Never had anything like it since. My h tried to replicate it but like most dishes it's never the same at home. I can't say I’ve ever had Caerphilly, one to check out.

I saw it in the early hours here in the South West, it was lovely. Couldn't see it the night before as there was a thick mist here. Thanks for sharing. x
