I understand that our helpline team have received calls regarding the post I made in an NRAS e-news bulletin about having my first vaccination and missing a dose of MTX the week afterwards. I would like to clarify that this decision was made based on my own circumstances (I am currently stable and have been on the same treatment for a long time) and in collaboration with my own team. I was sharing my personal experience and not advocating that others do this. I’ve lived with RA for 40 years and have worked in the field of rheumatology since founding NRAS in 2001 so have learned a huge amount about my own disease and the drugs I am on, and am used to self-managing. It is entirely safe to continue on treatment including MTX whilst having the vaccine as per information on our website and in line with British Society for Rheumatology advice.

Good to clarify as so many people are slightly confused.
That is exactly what my rheumatologist advised too. As I am also completely stable and in remission. And the same for my second dose which I had today (yahay!!).
I did the same, missed 1 week of injecting MTX, but it was entirely my decision. I've had RA for 50 years and knew it wouldn't make much difference to my disease which is fairly constant.
I also missed a methotrexate dose as I’ve had RA over 25yrs and am stable. Also didn’t want to have the methotrexate fog on top of the vaccine. This was my personal decision .
This is not the first time I've heard about the Methotrexate fog. I have been taking it for 14 months and am finding it VERY hard to wake up when in a deep sleep. I don't make sense for a while. Could this be methotrexate?
