What sort of advice are you looking for?
Have you asked your rheumatologist if you would be a suitable candidate for any sort of infusion?
Infusions are not the last resort ....there are allsorts of new drugs coming onto the market now.
We are not medically qualified and we couldn’t advise you on what infusions you should ask for ....that is the doctor’s job .....so do you speak to your Rheumatologist.....or his nurse and ask if you can try somethings different?
Im seeing Nurse 2moro to talk about infusions so just wanted advise from anyone on them and how they found them.
Ive had methotrexate/metoject, hydroclorizine, leflunomide and now hoping infusions are going to improve my life and pain
They certainly have improved my life. But don’t set your mind on any particular infusion every person has a different condition needing a different infusion.
Ask your nurse why your Rheumatologist is recommending whatever he is prescribing,
It depends what they say. They will discuss your various options with you. On the NRAS website there is lots of info on drugs and delivery methods too xx good luck !
I've had tablets, infusions and injections over the years . All worked in their own way.
No idea what particular drug you are going to have infused
The process of infusion itself I found very easy and straightforward, I always felt well cared for.
Good luck
Yes like Fred I’ve never had a problem with the process. But do you know what drug? That makes a big difference!
