How can I lose fat while taking the biological Actemra for RA?

Actemra is notorious for causing a large weight gain in some people, and it being near impossible to lose. All you can do is eat a calorie-controlled healthy diet, exercise as much as you're able, and be consistent.

Don't beat yourself up if you can't lose the weight, there are studies that show people who are given actemra vs controls, and the people on actemra ate the same calories, and did the same exercise, but did not lose weight. Its a terrible drug for some people, but of course its brilliant for others. If you gain weight though, it can be very upsetting, so go easy on yourself. you're not imaging it, you're not a closet eater or a liar, its just a side effect.
