How long from MDT to biologic?

Hello!

My team have recommended starting Adalimumab. My screening bloods and Chest X-ray have been done and are ok. The referral has been submitted to the biologic MDT…. How long does it take in people‘s experience for things to move forwards now 🤞🏻?

I shouldn’t really complain as everyone has been so helpful and caring and pro-active really but am really hoping after a year of failing my way through everything else that this will bring some relief.

Thank you!!xx

Normally about 6 weeks. 🤞this is the one x

I had my bloods done for biologics beginning of December and actually had my first shot the end of January.

Think different areas are faster/slower.

Hope this is the one for you x

It took me 8 weeks to finally get the shot from having the appointment to see the rumey nurse. Good luck

Thank you all 🥰 A bit more patience and 🤞🏻

I'm in the exact same position, thanks for asking the question I hadn't got around to asking! I'm 2.5 yrs since diagnosis

Let‘s hope we don’t have to wait too long 🤞🏻 good luck!!x

I know I shouldn’t moan but I just heard that despite submitting everything it had taken a month to even get a date for the MDT discussion which will be on Monday. Think I was assuming things were happening in the background and counting down to a non-existent imaginary date. Now I need an up to date chest x-ray again that the TB clinic has to sign too despite my bloods being negative for TB 😢. All this by voicemail on a Friday at Ten to five as well so couldn’t ask about a time frame or steroids which I had refused as thought I could count downtown the adalimumab. Oh dear. Feeling a bit deflated. It has been a long week.Does anybody have any hopeful stories of the longest bit of the wait being waiting for the MDT 🙈🙈??
