Hope everyone is as well as can be ☺️

Otilimab is being trialled (source Sky News)- just wondered everyone's thought on RA drugs being trialled?

Have a blessed week ⛅

Well I think it makes sense.

The bit that gets people into itu (in my words) is the " "cytokine storm", that is the body fighting the virus with an immune response and that's what can cause lung problems. So in my non technical brain in RA we get a sort of cytokine storm and our drugs dampen the immune inflammation down. So for me it does seem sensible for those with severe breathing problems. Who knows these new treatments may end up standard after covid for severe breathing problems too !!

I totally agree. I sincerely hope one of these drugs are the key to this wicked virus! Enjoy the day ahead Allanah 😌

Well I think it’s good, they should trial anything that they think might help because no one knows what will and hopefully they will find one that does.

Yes, when I had my video consult last week, Rheumy told me there were very promising signs that more than one of our biologics were effective against Covid. Good news
