There are a number of different things that can change in cervical spine. And also depends which bit..there are 7 vertebrae in the cervical spine.

Were you given more detail as to what precisely was affected and how? Without that no clue as to whether serious or not (I hope not!).

The decision to move me on to biologic drugs was taken because of signs of changes in my cervical spine. But only little changes thankfully.

I am on my second biologic already. Waiting to see the report for myself, simply had a letter from my consultant. Worrying that I only had MRI 2 weeks ago and usually the reports take ages

The time the report takes is really the luck of the draw, nothing to do with how urgent the issue is. I’ve had one report instantly just because the radiographers were there and not too busy.

So try not to fret until you see the report.

I’ve an appointment for a x-ray of my cervical spine next week, so am just starting out on this journey. Good luck and let us know how you get on🤞

Hello, I was diagnosed with RA my cervical spine around 5 years ago. The neurosurgeon decided to leave it to fuse on its own. This took around 2 years but everyone is different and truthfully it very much depends on what your actual diagnosis and prognosis is. I hope you hear soon and get relief.
