Advice please

I have a videophone call booked for tomorrow morning with my consultant, there choice not mine & this I’m told is what will happen from now on ☹️ What should I expect? Any tips on what I should be saying. I’m a bit nervous to be honest so any help would be much appreciated. Many Thanks 😊

Don’t be nervous.write down what you need to know .

I know it’s not as good as face 2 face,but at least you can sit on your sofa and have a brew,whilst it’s going on..

I e had several phone consultations with GPS and 2 with consultants. Did find it made me concentrate as didn’t want to miss anything.

Thanks for replying. I did have a consultation with my GP which was hilarious. He wanted to see my ear (I had eczema) & I was pointing my phone at the back of my head! My GP is lovely, my consultant on the other hand is a very serious young man & I’m worried that I’ll mess up somehow.

Take your time, it's a new experience and a different way of having to do things. I don't have this kind of technology and am not sure how it works so I wonder if you make a list of what you want to say, tick them off even as you go along. If you don't think it has been answered ask again. This about you and your health and while I don't feel it can ever be the same as a face to face appointment, this is your opportunity to say it as it is. Hope all goes well and you have a productive consultation. Take care x

Thanks good advice. Yes I thought I should right it down. I don’t want to get flustered and forget what I need to say. I guess if things were going well I’d be ok with it but they’re not. So it’s important that I get that across.
