I am due to have my monthly blood test. The regular pharmacy I use has suspended this service as so have others. I can’t find any information on NHS sites regarding blood tests. Any information anyone? Thank you
Blood tests : I am due to have my monthly blood test... - NRAS
Blood tests
My blood test was due so I rang my GP's surgery and after a bit of debate I got an appointment for 11am today! That's quicker than usual. If I hadn't been able to get one done there there's the NHS111 website or Rheumatology who could direct me to somewhere I could get it done.
Call your rheumy nurse.
She will tell you if it’s essential for you to have the blood test or if you can maybe miss it this month.....but do it well ahead of time she will be very busy answering questions like yours so don’t worry if you don’t hear for a few days.
see my recent post on this tho' hopefully it'll be better where you are. x
I rang up the rhuemy dept about this as I have a blood test done every month. I was told that in the present circumstances I can leave having one for three months this time. I must admit it is kind of nice to not have to keep going down to the blood clinic at the hospital where it is always packed with people.
I called rumy last week but couldn’t get through, I tried online appointments but wouldn’t let me book, popped in one of the local pharmacies that do it, I was told all had been suspended. So last resort I went to a walk in centre. Thankfully hardly anyone was there and got seen to almost straight away. Came home and few hours later rumy nurse called but she hadn’t been updated on any info regarding blood tests. So I will from now on leave it till safer times. Xxx
Had blood tests cancelled until June by rheumi nurse
