Scoliosis/Disc Herniation related to RA?

Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis about 2 months ago, and even though Methotrexate has been working really well on all of my joints, about a month ago I started having upper back pain which I attributed to RA. Yesterday, I got X-RAY results and found out I have mild mid-back/lumbar dextroscoliosis/levoscoliosis.

Is it possible that RA could have triggered scoliosis? I just thought that it's too much of a coincidence that in 3 months I've found out I have a disc herniation, scoliosis and RA at the same time. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I'm no experts but if you have inflammation in joints i could see that coukd affect the spine??? Best chest with the experts. I had a spine op which was so helpful for discs eroding and I was told my condition( repeat my) was because of my inflammation. Hope they get you under control soon so yes call them up x

Now there's a funny thing. I'm sorry you are having a torrid time with your back and only your medical team can give you the answers. I've been having problems with my floating ribs riding up over the lower fixed ones and it blooming hurts. This started before my RD diagnosis and it has been suggested that I have a mild lumbar scoliosis which is causing it. It won't be investigated whilst this temporary inconvenience is going on but if you get any answers I'd be interested to know.
