Mtx and Psoriasis

Been on Mtx now for about 3 months for Psoriatic RA .Pain is much better and it seems to be all good for me at the moment .The only thing is my Psoriasis seems to be getting a bit worse,I thought Mtx would help it ?

I was previously on methotrexate injections for about 6 months. My body wouldn't absorb the tablets. It helped with my Arthritis and it cleared up my skin and i was covered from head to toe but it did take a good 3-4 months before i started seeing an improvement. Hang in there it will get better.

Thankyou very much for your reply ,I will give it more time and may swap to the injections in the new year x

I take a 25mg mtx injection once a week for inflammatory polyarthritis (RA and/or PsA) and my psoriasis has gotten slightly worse. It's not awful, but I have to use prescription gel more often to keep it in check. I was surprised, too!

Thankyou for your reply.I too am having to use the Dovobet a bit more,maybe it may change after 6 months or so?
