Long awaited appointment (since April) for my feet. I have been in a lot of pain for years with my toes separating and lack of mobility. Had to fight for this appointment. The result is I have several issues which should have been seen to awhile ago. I need orthotics made . I was measured etc today and told I won’t get them for at least 3 months due to backlog 🥺🤬no doubt feet will have changed by then..... pain continues.

Oh dear ☹️ I'm waiting for an appointment for orthotics, in the meantime my feet ultrasound appointment is now booked. Everything seems to take soooo long 😒
I know... woke up thus morning can’t walk after all the prodding yesterday 😞going to have to take the day off work again... hope they are better by the weekend going to a wedding
That's awful. Are they able to supply you with some temporary help in the meantime?
I went privately for podiatry because the NHS one here was so poor I wrote a letter of complaint about her (no history taken, assuming my problems were due to high heels which I haven't been able to wear for many years and then hardly ever did, then asking about medication and being completely thrown by the answers, then supplying an insert which was painful and then fell to pieces on the second wearing).
The podiatrist I see makes her own inserts, reviews then, alters them and generally seems to do her best - although she does think I need another operation...
The bloke was brilliant he listened and was able to pinpoint exactly where my problems were. He was very embarrassed but cut backs in all areas means the resources just aren’t there. Gp told me to go private but I don’t have the money as I’ve reduced my working hours.... if I get PIp a big if as it gone to tribunal I might just splash out on some decent orthotics.
