Confused

Im really confused , just come back from 2nd appointment with my rheumy. My blood tests in September were A.n.a 1.400, Esr 82 and Crp 36. My Gp requested to see me 2 weeks after my blood tests to tell me i had connective tissue disease. My swellings have spread from 1 knee to both knees to both ankles, feet and toes along with a severely swollen left hand with fingers which she has said are carpal tunnel ! Im still no further on and now have to wait for an Mri for my legs and feet and a ct scan for my hand. Had 8 vials of blood taken today again. I just want this gone

Hi Sammie, It is frustrating waiting for a diagnosis and then waiting for treatment to start but you are further on in that you are having an mri done and then things may be clearer, so that’s a positive, even though it may not seem like it when you are suffering. After that it could take time for meds to work so don’t despair, you’ve come to the right place for support. We have all been where you are and come out the other side, Talk to us when you need to 🤗

I think a lot of us will have all hoped that at some point after diagnosis😔. It’s not all doom and gloom though, there are lots of people out there living good lives on their meds, it just sometimes can take some time to find the right combination that works for you. You’ll get there and the support here will help you in the meantime x
