Ladies and gents still not had my results from ct last Wes getting very irritated just want the news whatever it is

Don’t stress Deejojo....I just waited 6 weeks to get a scan result from the hospital....but

after 2 weeks I had called the hospital department & asked if they had sent the result to my GP......they had......so in fact I spoke to her & got my results.

So if you don’t hear.......Why not wait until next week & call your GP.

In my area there just aren’t enough consultants to read these scans & write the reports.....so the letter to the patient maybe delayed a bit ....maybe it’s the same where you are .

But if anything serious show s up, your GP would contact you.....before the hospital letter....so don’t worry.....just enjoy your weekend.

It can be very frustrating if you wait for results. The NHS doesn't deliberately delay sending out results. Understaffed and overworked. I write to my MP to highlight things like that. It might not make a difference, but I rather blame the politicians. I hope you'll get good news soon.

Hiya Denise. Imaging results can take a while, I’m sure you know, they need to be analysed then a report written up. Many are taken each day, it isn’t just ours they're analysing unfortunately so can take longer than we'd perhaps otherwise expect or want. Your Rheumy (or whoever requested the scan) will receive them, he'll then write to your GP probably too so I'm sure either will be in touch to discuss it as soon as they are able.

Did you ask if you could be informed too? I had imaging done yesterday & requested I was kept in the link, although I had a running commentary as a student joined us so I have a pretty good idea what's what. Still I won't know for sure until that letter drops on the doormat. 😚

Waiting is always hard for us. Who arranged the scan? Perhaps you could ask them to chase it up as you’re worried.

Hopefully it’s being processed in the system but giving a nudge might relieve some of your concerns as you wait. It’s totally understandable and I appreciate where you are coming from.

I am still waiting waiting for the result of 2 US’s taken in May !!!! I have had three rheumy appointments cancelled, so not holding my breath for the November appointment I was given. I am assuming all was okay. NHS not coping. I have been waiting for a back op for 7 months now, I was told 4 to 5 months. They finely gave me a pre med three weeks ago. Called last week for a echocardiogram, and this week for a thyroid blood test. Why not all done together ? Or at least the last two. Still no date. On a more positive note, I was referred for a two week wait suspected skin cancer to another hospital. One was a low grade cancer the other not a cancer, so both Zapped and a letter received 3 days later, this was last last week. X

I had my ct scan last wesd still no results so I suppose it’s just a waiting game I hope u get sorted soon

I’m like you. I have regular CT’s as I have Rheumatoid lung disease. Last one was 14th May & still no results. My next CT is due Nov. I’ve just given up trying. Rheumatology tried to get my August appointment expedited with no luck in fact they cancelled the appointment altogether. As they referred me all results go to them. I live in a different area so my GP dosnt get any results from Rheumatology or Respiratory so it’s always up to me to let him know what’s happening.

I just have to hope & presume all was ok x

Sorry to hear you have the same problem. My consultant rang me in May to advise me she was booking the US for my liver as bloods had been abnormal for a while, the second one was for tendentious of my right shoulder ordered in March, had them both together in June. I just assume if a problem she would have rung me. My GP also a different health authority like you picked up on my bloods and my ferritin levels low, so went on ferrous sulphate. Also had a bowel cancer test. That was ok. I also waited 4 months for the result of a lung ct last October. Just wish we could be informed in a reasonable time. All the best to you, take care. X
