I've been on Humira for about 6 years, but it seems to have stopped working. This is after 6 months of serious illness, lung cancer which was removed, pleural cavity infection and a stroke as well as rhuematiod flares. Have been taking steriods for a lot of this time. Maybe the steriods have a bad influence on Humira. Any idea.
Could anyone suggest a replacement for Humira.

That sounds awful. The best person to suggest alternatives is your Rheumatology consultant. I hope your health will improve from now on. You are courageous to get through all that you have.
I'm not in a position to advise you, as I haven't been through it, but as charisma7aj say's, your rheumy should know.
Probably worth enquiring to see if your next appt can be brought forward and, hopefully, someone in the group will have more specific experience and be able to advise you.
My humira stopped working after 6 years too! I didn't go through anything compared to you to make it stop, it just did, no explanation. Your doctor will tell you what's best! I've tried benepali and tocizumab since, and have yet to find something that works but could definitely be options for you! There are alot of biologics to try so don't get disheartened this one didn't work out, you still have loads of great options!
