help with costs

Hi I am on benefits and retired early from work because of my ill health but is there any help available for costs with car travel? as my daughter has to drive me to all my appointments and I cannot afford to help with costs of car/petrol costs she works part time as she has a child she virtually does everything for me but i dont know if she would be entitled to any benefits/help with this anone know?

I’m not sure about car travel but can she claim carer’s allowance? I get a free bus pass from my council and it’s just one bus to the hospital.

Have you asked whether you would qualify for patient transport?

Contact the hospital, it used to be called the Lady Almoners department. Maybe ask PALS, at the hospital, or the cashiers office.

If you can show that you are in receipt of Benifits take proof of appointment to the cashier at the hospital and they will pay so much per mile.

I think if you are on the higher rate of PIP she may be able to claim carers allowance.
