Hi all, there doesn't seem to be a local NRAS group near to me, all are about 1 to 1.5hrs away. Ive sooken to NRAS & theyre not facilitating any new area group start ups apart from 2 already started this year due to lack of staff & resources. So is there anyone in postcode DE11 or Burton upon Trent, (or maybe who attends Queens Hospital Rheumatology dept in Burton) & surrounding area, who is interested in getting in touch? It would be great to have someone local to talk to & swap stories & treatment info with?

There is nothing to stop you forming a group yourselves....peer support is one of the best therapies. Hope you get some response....good luck!!
Well according to NRAS they usually have to help with the set up of local groups so they can advise & support it, or the person forming it. But as you say, there's nothing to stop us forming an informal group. Thanks for youre encouragement.
I would be interested.
I may be too far away though just over the border into Nottinghamshire. NG16.
I asked a similar question a while back. I was all-fired keen to meet with others in a similar position but, having worked out a sort of central meetingplace (a garden centre with a cafe) the brain fog decended and left me unable to organise a tossed salad. It is possible and a good idea. Wishing you the best of luck
Thats a shame if you had got tgat far. Where are you based?
West Yorkshire so, unfortunately, miles away
I'm Derbyshire, DE56 and would be interested in meeting up
DE6 here interested Tony
Happy to meet up. Please keep me informed
