Does anyone have RA and fibromyalgia

Hi there I've just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia on top of my RA does anyone else here have both. I just don't need anything else with constant pain, but I'm relieved to know what it is. Any advice would be great

yes I have both, sorry you have both, I have suffered from fibromyalgia for 20 yrs before developing RA too now.

Yes I have had RA for 17yrs and nearly 10yrs with fibro and et times when I don't know which hurts the most.xxx

Yes I have both as well. But fortunately the medication for the RA seems to help with the Fybro.

My rheumy said I probably have fibro as well as RD but it wouldnt make any difference to treatment so didnt matter .

I have had fybro for about 10 years and was put on gabapentin which did successfully calm it down. Last year I was diagnosed with RA so more medication but so far things aren’t too bad. Not always sure which is causing some of the pain but rheumy can differentiate between the two.

Yes, I have both RA and fibromyalgia and I also have OA, gout, degenerative disc disease and curvature of the spine as well as many other health problems. It is often hard to know which health issue is causing which pain.

I have had Fibro since 2000 & was diagnosed with RA in 2016. I know exactly how you feel as it is definitely a double-whammy!! Some days I have pain from both conditions other better days it's just from Fibro!! It also increases the brain fog for me too having both!!
