can anyone tell me how long should I wait after a tooth extraction im on methotrexate and biologics.

Er, wait for what? Is it about when you restart your drugs? As for that you need to ask a doctor as we aren’t medically trained.

Like Helix said I would consult your doctor. However I had my hip replaced in September and I didn’t come off the mtx at all.

I resumed my biologic medication once my dentist told me the extraction site has healed but I checked with my rheumy nurse first so suggest you give them a ring

Can’t you email your rheum nurse or ring them. That’s what they are they for to answer any questions. 😀

Thanks everyone I talked to nurse got all my questions answered now I’ve just found out why I was in pain dentist has left a big peice of tooth in the extraction site. HOPEFULLY will get sorted very soon 😢

Your dentist is supposed to know the answer if he knows you’re on methotrexate. Certain procedures cannot just be performed without knowledge of a persons medications and conditions.
