Cimzia after failed methotrexate

Hi all! Wondering if anyone is taking Cimzia?? I had been on 20mg of methotrexate since October 2017 and in remission with no pain since very soon there after. In March of this year i had elevated liver enzymes so we decreased my dose to 15mg, repeated labs and still elevated. At that time my rheumatologist told me to stop the methotrexate. My last dose was April 10th and have had a return of morning stiffness and some joint pain in my elbow and knees since. I met with my doc today and he recommended a biologic and Cimzia is the one that my insurance company likes the best. So waiting for insurance approval, which i should get and then starting it up!

Hi aramire, I'm on Cimzia, started December 2018 took about a month before improvement was felt, but was told it can take up to 6months. I dont have any major side effects only sinus irritation but i can live with that! Only other meds I'm taking atm is 2.5mg prendisolone as I've just had a hip replacement and had to stop the Cimzia 6weeks before surgery so had to fill the gap with the prendisolone, but will be weaning off that eventually.
